Emma Memma, who will perform before joining the parade, mentioned, "To be part of this very special event is quite extraordinary, especially from all the way over from Sydney, Australia; we don't really have anything like this," highlighting the unique tradition and its international appeal.
This year's event could be the last, creating a sense of urgency and excitement as 750,000 people are expected to gather for a spectacle of 27 hand-crafted floats and over 2,000 performers, making the 120th parade one to remember.
For the first time, viewers can watch the Santa Claus Parade streamed live on YouTube instead of the usual television broadcast, showcasing a shift in how large events are experienced by audiences at home.
