On Sunday night, two residents from Crown Heights sustained injuries during an apartment fire at 921 Montgomery St., which was one of three fires within just 12 hours.
Firefighters confronted heavy flames at the first-floor apartment, managing to guide residents to safety as they battled the smoke and flames threatening the building.
Despite a car obstructing their access to a hydrant, 60 firefighters from 12 units worked effectively to control the blaze within about 45 minutes.
Investigators from the FDNY Fire Marshals Office are currently examining the cause and origin of all three fires that occurred in the area.
