In Manhattan, Mame Gueye, 25, attacked a 47-year-old taxi driver after his credit card declined, escalating from a dispute to violence. He assaulted the driver, choking him, before stealing the cab. Following a miles-long joyride, NYPD officers located the vehicle after it crashed into a parked car. Gueye attempted to flee but was apprehended after a brief chase. He now faces multiple charges, including robbery and driving while intoxicated, with a prior DWI arrest from earlier this year. Fortunately, the cabbie received treatment but did not require hospitalization.
