Bay Ridge teen turns lockdown blues into art, premieres pandemic-inspired musical at Old Stone House * Brooklyn Paper
Briefly

Just 12 years old at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, Cantone turned to songwriting as an outlet to work through the complicated web of emotions and experiences forced upon him daily.
The musical he created, 'Colors in My Bedroom,' highlights the experience of kids his age with the internet, their parents, and their identity, emphasizing the question, 'Where do I belong?'
McEney, the artistic director of Piper Theater Productions, was impressed by Cantone's concept for the musical, describing it as 'extraordinary seeing a person trying'.
'Colors in My Bedroom' will premiere at the Old Stone House in Park Slope on July 19, with Cantone himself as part of the full cast.
