A 71-year-old man was assaulted in Brooklyn when an unidentified individual punched him in the face and stole his walking cane, leaving the victim injured.
This assault occurred around 7:30 p.m. as the victim walked near West 11th Street, where a verbal exchange escalated into physical violence.
Authorities reported that the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover from his injuries after the attack.
The assailant, described as wearing a black tank top and gray pants, fled the scene on foot and remains unidentified as police investigate.
