Actor who appeared on 'Law & Order' convicted of 'calculated,' revenge-fueled NYC murder: DA
Briefly

Isaiah Stokes, known for roles on "Law & Order" and "Boardwalk Empire," was convicted of second-degree murder after a two-week trial. The shooting of Tyrone Jones occurred on February 7, 2021, following a four-month feud, initiated when Jones ejected Stokes from a birthday gathering. Stokes tracked Jones using a GPS device and shot him 11 times in a targeted attack. Queens DA stated the act was particularly calculated, highlighting the premeditated nature of the crime and the focus on addressing gun violence in the community.
"This was a calculated murder," Queens DA Melinda Katz said in a statement. "The defendant, a part-time actor, stewed for months after being thrown out of a birthday party for his own inappropriate behavior."
Isaiah Stokes allegedly placed a GPS device underneath Jones' car, which he used to track him down and commit the broad-daylight murder more than a week later.
