JR & Son, a historic bar and restaurant in Williamsburg, has reopened its doors after a long closure with a complete makeover. The establishment retains its Italian roots through a redesigned interior that showcases original decorative elements and memorabilia from its history since 1936. Executive chef Patricia Vega has crafted a menu that combines Italian-American classics with new inspirations, featuring items like green olive focaccia, stuffed clams, and a variety of fresh seafood. The transformation aims to create a cozy atmosphere while honoring its legacy in the community.
The reimagined JR & Son, now at 575 Lorimer St., blends its rich Italian heritage with a fresh menu and restored décor, celebrating the space's history.
Designers restored JR & Son's original ambiance—black and white tile floors, decorative ceilings, and memorabilia—while enhancing it with plush booths and cozy lighting.
