An 8-year-old girl was left unattended in a Dodge Durango when a man stole the vehicle, taking her on a brief joyride through Brooklyn.
After approximately 30 minutes, the man dumped the car and the girl about a mile and a half north, where police found her unharmed.
Authorities have not released a suspect description as they continue their investigation into the carjacking incident.
The police confirmed that the child was found inside the car without injury, ensuring her safety following the troubling incident.
