Man and woman charged with arson in massive Cape restaurant fire
Briefly

Jacob Ladner and Isabella Medeiros face multiple charges, including arson, after a fire consumed Yarmouth's historic Anthony's Cummaquid Inn last November. The fire, reported on November 3, resulted in significant structural damage and required extensive firefighting efforts. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, but the fire posed risks to firefighters and the public. The incident was investigated by police and fire departments, which determined it was set intentionally. Their arrests were a result of thorough investigation efforts, leading to community relief and acknowledgment of the detectives' work by local officials.
We were extremely fortunate that no one was seriously injured. Fire is dangerous, destructive, and unpredictable. This intentionally set fire put first responders, the public, and the perpetrators themselves in danger.
These arrests were the result of painstaking work by Yarmouth Police detectives and State Police fire investigators with the support and assistance of the Yarmouth Fire Department.
