Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices CEO Gino Blefari has denied a Wall Street Journal report claiming Compass is in advanced talks to acquire the company. In a message to franchisees, Blefari confirmed there are no ongoing discussions or negotiations regarding the sale of HomeServices or its affiliates. This denial comes as Compass has been actively consolidating its position in the industry through acquisitions, and a potential buyout of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices would mark a significant shift in the market landscape.
"I want to confirm to you that there are no discussions, negotiations, or agreements to sell HomeServices or any of its affiliated companies, and that includes the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchise business," wrote Blefari.
"Moreover, no such sale is being contemplated," he said.
