Repeat offender charged in Charles River machete attack

On May 23, a 54-year-old man was attacked while sleeping under Longfellow Bridge and found bleeding. The victim described the attacker, leading to the arrest of Charles Selph.
Troopers found a machete matching the one in the video near the scene. Selph, with a criminal history, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
