Mitchell Felix Duru, a 23-year-old from Jamaica Plain, died of gunshot wounds early Sunday morning near 849 Cummins Highway in Mattapan, marking a tragic loss.
Police arrived at the scene around 1:05 a.m. and found Duru suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Boston Police Department has initiated an investigation into the fatal shooting, urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the BPD Homicide Unit.
