Neighbors rescue man from burning car in Revere
Briefly

Around 3 a.m., a fast-moving vehicle crashed into a wall on Revere Beach Boulevard, igniting a fire that quickly engulfed the car. Neighbors quickly mobilized, utilizing garden hoses to put out the flames and breaking the car's door open to rescue the trapped driver. Their swift efforts ensured the driver wasn't left in the vehicle for too long, which ultimately saved his life.
Witnesses expressed their determination to save the driver, with one stating, 'We did teamwork. Our intention was, and all that we cared about, was to get him out alive. Because if we leave him for another five or 10 minutes, he would've died.' Their combined efforts exemplified heroism in an emergency and highlighted the importance of community support.
The quick actions included using a dumbbell to break the window and scissors to cut the driver free from the seatbelt. Bystanders showed remarkable bravery, emphasizing that any delay could have led to a tragic outcome for the driver.
Both the driver and one of the rescuers were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, underlining the fact that while the situation became dire, their prompt response significantly reduced the severity of the injuries.
