Fabio Armelio, 47, was arrested in Somerville on Friday, harboring 20 outstanding arrest warrants across multiple jurisdictions and suspected in various break-ins.
The Somerville Police created a task force that included Tufts University Police, MIT Police, and Boston Police to address the recent increase in break-ins.
In the Powder House neighborhood, Armelio is identified in three breaking and entering cases since December, amidst a wave of crime in an area with many students.
