"Those recent trends show among the strongest warm trends across New England," Handel told Boston.com. "New England has a lot of the strongest warm trends as compared to most places in the country."
"As for precipitation, the probabilities for above normal precipitation in New England are quite weak," Handel explained, noting that Boston is favoring equal chances of above or below normal precipitation.
"Boston, oftentimes, gets decent snow, regardless of the year," he added. "Be prepared for winter weather all through the season."
Handel mentioned that there is a 33% to 40% chance of above normal precipitation for the state of New Hampshire and for northern and western Massachusetts.
