Matthew McConaughey Shares His No. 1 Bedroom Tip For Parents
""One way to surely / get ahead. / Is get rid of that / king-Size mattress. / And Sleep in / a Queen-Size Bed.""
""I am seeing a lot of reasons not to believe, not finding enough things to believe in. So instead of looking at the evidence, of the facts of the world, I thought, 'let's look at ideals, poetry, prayers,' and see if we can maintain the faith in those and bring those down and make those a reality.""
""Drop down to a queen-size bed, it's good for your marriage," he concluded."
Matthew McConaughey advises couples to sleep in a queen-size bed rather than a king-size to maintain closeness. He and his wife, Camila Alves, had pushed two king-size beds together after having children so the kids could sleep in the bed, which often left them physically distant in the morning. McConaughey published Poems & Prayers, a collection of poems released Sept. 16 that covers topics from Greenlights to faith. He began writing poetry at age 18 and created the book to focus on ideals, poetry and prayers amid feelings of cynicism and doubt.
