Jodie Burrage hopes her bad luck is behind her as she prepares to return from six months on the sidelines due to wrist and ankle injuries. After a torn ligament in February required surgery, she was on track to compete at the French Open until another injury sidelined her during training in May, preventing her from participating in the final three grand slams of the year. Now, she is set to play at the Jasmin Open in Tunisia.
"It's been a long time but I actually feel in a good spot," said Burrage. "I've done a lot of hard work; wrist feels good, ankle feels good. Just ready to go. It's been a long six months. I've coped the best that I can. It's been tough at times." This statement encapsulates her resilience and determination as she looks forward to resuming her career.
