In North Carolina, a family was kidnapped by three suspects demanding a ransom of $1 million after refusing to pay. Paola Duran Duran, her brother Miguel, and Eleodoro Estrada-Hernandez allegedly entered Eliuth Alejandro Martinez's home at gunpoint. The victims, including an 11-month-old daughter, were released after police followed leads and evidence. The community’s support was highlighted, and while two suspects were arrested, one remains at large with a reward for information leading to his capture.
The Garner Police Department is thankful these victims were recovered "safely" the police said in a statement. "We appreciate the support of our community as we work tirelessly to arrest the suspects responsible and uncover the motive behind this crime."
Investigators quickly uncovered evidence and began to follow multiple leads to locate the victims, according to a press release from the Garner County Police Department.
