Danish designer Jens Martin Skibste aimed to create an e-bike, the BER, that conceals its electric nature with a minimalist design that looks better and differentiates itself from bulky counterparts.
The BER features the slimmest battery possible, allowing for a theoretical range of 70 miles, making it ideal for long American commutes, although actual performance may vary.
Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the bike weighs around 35 pounds and is designed for ease of use, with convenient features like a top-mounted charging port and a carbon fiber belt drive.
With a design that references classic American cruisers and built-in lights, the BER represents a shift towards more practical, aesthetically pleasing e-bikes that maintain functionality without sacrificing style.
