Solaris is delivering in Berlin the first e-buses with battery passport (mandatory from 2027) - Sustainable Bus
Briefly

Solaris has delivered the Urbino 18 electric bus, the world's first series-produced to feature a battery passport. This model integrates High Energy batteries with a substantial capacity of about 700 kWh.
The battery passport functions as a digital document detailing a battery's composition, origin, environmental impact, and essential recycling data, increasing transparency throughout the battery lifecycle.
With the introduction of the battery passport on the Urbino 18 buses, Solaris is complying with upcoming EU regulations, three years ahead of the mandated requirements.
Each battery passport will include critical information regarding the chemical makeup, carbon footprint, and the share of renewable materials, fostering responsible management of battery resources.
