The NFL has updated its uniform policy, allowing teams to wear throwback and alternate uniforms for four games in the regular season, an increase from three. This change is exciting news for fans, particularly for those who admire the Atlanta Falcons' traditional throwback styles. The update coincides with an offseason where several teams, including the Falcons, are eligible to refresh their uniforms, having had their current designs for five years. Fans are eagerly anticipating this extra opportunity to see classic uniforms on the field soon.
On Monday at the annual league meetings being held in South Florida, the NFL informed team owners that teams can now wear their throwback and alternate uniforms up to four games in the 17-game regular season.
This is fantastic news if you are fans of the Atlanta Falcons throwback uniforms, like myself, including their red helmets.
This news comes the same offseason in which the Falcons, along with six other teams, are now eligible to change their uniforms again.
Regardless though, it'll be nice to possibly see an extra game of the Falcons throwback uniforms.
