Former Atlanta Falcons safety Keanu Neal announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons, having been drafted in 2016. The 29-year-old enjoyed a standout rookie season that included a Super Bowl appearance, but injuries severely limited his playtime in subsequent years. Neal expressed gratitude towards his teams, including the Falcons, Cowboys, Bucs, and Steelers, for supporting his career. As a versatile player, he briefly switched to linebacker but never regained his earlier Pro Bowl form. Over his career, he totaled 89 games played, alongside impressive statistics of 523 tackles and multiple forced turnovers.
Wanna give a big thank you to the Atlanta Falcons for drafting and giving me a chance to make an impact. To the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Bucs, and Pittsburgh Steelers... I am incredibly grateful for the coaches and teammates I had the privilege of working with along the way. Thank you!
Over eight NFL seasons, Neal appeared in 89 total games (69 starts), recording 523 tackles (361 solo), eight forced fumbles and four interceptions.
