Pop Star Anitta Welcomes AD Into Her Rio de Janeiro Home
Briefly

Anitta's home in Rio de Janeiro, designed remotely in six months by Studio Ro+Ca, embodies her roots and personal experiences. The entry features a striking mosaic mural symbolizing her childhood in the favelas, surrounded by elements of her Yoruba faith. From a large dining table for family gatherings to an emphasis on Brazilian art and design, Anitta's demands shaped a space that narrates her story. The house not only serves as a residence but as a representation of her identity and culture.
Being invited into the Rio de Janeiro home of the Brazilian singer and songwriter Anitta was a dream come true. It was at once everything I imagined and nothing like what I expected.
I give them even more credit because I'm a client with a lot of opinions. I had very clear ideas about what I wanted. I even made them look at my drawings of how I imagined each space.
It has an art gallery vibe, which also contains a number of spiritual touches. On the floor, a box with stones and crystals has been placed to improve the energy of the house.
The house had to be Brazilian and tell the story of who I am, my roots, my religion.
