Color is memory, and transports me to my early childhood in the Dominican Republic in the 1990s, where vibrant homes reflected a joyous way of living.
Through painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and performance, I pursue joy using bright hues that challenge perceptions of reality and trauma within the Afro-Diasporic experience.
