Actor Jimmy O. Yang talks about one of his greatest fears on NPR's 'Wild Card'
Briefly

As an Asian American immigrant, I often felt invisible when I came to America at 11 years old. I discovered comedy as a tool for countering people's expectations of me.
When I first started acting, I was a background actor. I had a two-line part as Chinese Teenager No. 2, and I felt like I snuck in and scored.
Although with the limited English language that I knew, I found a way to talk back and fight back, and not let someone get the best of me.
The role of Willis Wu in Hulu's 'Interior Chinatown' reflects the feeling of invisibility that I had for much of my life.
