Samsung could drop Google Gemini in favor of Perplexity for Galaxy S26
Briefly

Google is pushing its Gemini AI into various products, especially mobile devices, to counter competition from ChatGPT. Despite facing antitrust scrutiny, Google obtained Samsung's agreement to make Gemini the default assistant on new devices. This shift allows for greater openness in AI development, with other AI providers like Meta and Microsoft being integrated into devices. However, while this increases competition, it raises concerns over user experience as too many AI integrations could lead to confusion rather than enhanced functionality.
According to Bloomberg, the deal is not done, though both sides have met in South Korea and agreed on the basic framework.
Google is working overtime to push Gemini into every product and device possible.
Google even managed to get Samsung to make Gemini the default assistant on the Galaxy S25 series, demoting its Bixby system.
Having so many AI agents active on the Razrs didn't make them smarter; it just made them more confusing.
