Nvidia is developing a special version of its AI chip to comply with U.S. regulations that make it harder for Western technology companies to export certain computer components to China.
The special version chip, known as B20, is expected to be 30 times faster than previous chips specifically when responding to questions from chatbots.
China currently contributes 17% of Nvidia's revenue, down from 26% two years ago, highlighting the impact of such regulatory changes on the technology company's business.
