At Computex in Taipei, leading GPU manufacturers including Nvidia, Intel, and AMD unveiled cutting-edge desktop GPUs capable of running generative AI models locally. Nvidia's DGX Spark desktop, previously known as Project DIGITS, is set to launch in July via prominent PC manufacturers like Dell and HP. This compact system boasts Nvidia's latest Blackwell GPU and offers an impressive 1 petaflops of performance. CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that the device acts as a personal, always-on AI cloud, ready to assist users at any time.
It is "your own AI cloud sitting right next to you, and it's always on, always waiting for you," said Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO, during a keynote at the Computex trade show.
Nvidia announced that its DGX Spark desktop (formerly Project DIGITS), a small box that sits on the desktop, will ship in July from top PC makers including Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, and Lenovo.
