Meta's new AI-powered video generator, Movie Gen, can create HD videos with sound from text inputs and edit existing footage, but it won't be publicly available yet.
The system is capable of generating videos in various aspect ratios and is able to apply custom edits to existing clips, like changing styles or adding new elements.
With Movie Gen, users can see AI in action, turning simple still images into vibrant, dynamic videos, showcasing a future where creative possibilities are limitless.
Despite this innovation, Meta's chief product officer notes they're not ready to launch the product due to high costs and lengthy generation times.
