LinkedIn's new update on its 'trust and safety' policy reveals that it has been harvesting content from user posts to train its AI features without prior consent.
Senior VP Blake Lawit stated in the update that LinkedIn's privacy policy was modified, confirming the automatic collection of posts for AI model training.
Users are informed that if they wish to prevent LinkedIn from using their data for AI training, they will need to actively opt out.
Good news for EU residents: LinkedIn will not use personal data from countries like Norway and Switzerland for AI training for the foreseeable future.
