Salesforce is actively rebranding its automation solutions as agentic AI, positioning itself to leverage a projected $6 trillion 'digital labor market.' This initiative focuses on its Agentforce and Data Cloud platforms, which offer businesses the ability to deploy autonomous AI agents for various functions, including sales and marketing. Despite their potential, Salesforce and the broader industry face the challenge of demonstrating distinct value compared to traditional automation. Notable companies like CaixaBank and Maserati have adopted these platforms, showcasing their effectiveness in creating personalized customer experiences globally.
"The new world of AI is rewriting those rules, and the re-writing of those rules is determined at the moment based on the information you have provided and you've grounded it with," Auradkar told Digiday.
"Agentforce, which debuted last fall, enables companies to deploy autonomous AI agents. Meanwhile, Data Cloud, its customer data platform, first debuted in 2020 as Customer 360 Audiences before evolving through several rebrands before becoming Data Cloud in 2023."
