Fandom, the platform that hosts wikis for various fandoms, is introducing generative AI features such as Quick Answers and AI image review. Users will have the option to opt out of these features. Quick Answers, previously criticized for its inaccuracies, provides concise answers to fan questions. Fandom has added an edit feature and made it an optional feature, allowing wiki admins and editors to review answers and ensure their accuracy for specific fandoms.
Quick Answers lets visitors easily find answers about specific fandoms...fan project, the Hollow Knight Wiki, announced it was leaving Fandom...Fandom paused Quick Answers in September to add an edit feature.
In addition to Quick Answers, Fandom is implementing AI in its image review process to swiftly and accurately remove inappropriate content. The company has collaborated with Coactive AI to develop Image Review, which enables wiki admins to automatically approve or reject photos and will soon have auto-tagging for SEO. These AI features aim to enhance user experience and content moderation on Fandom's platform.
