A Microsoft employee expressed concern saying, 'Now, when Joe Blow logs into an account and starts Copilot, they can see everything. All of a sudden, Joe Blow can see the CEO's email.'
Business Insider highlights that organizations have delayed the implementation of Copilot due to its security risks, indicating a significant trust issue with the tool.
Microsoft clarified that the governance challenges faced are not new, stating, 'Many data governance challenges associated with AI were not caused by AI's arrival.'
