In March, Amazon concluded its $4 billion investment in Anthropic, committing to use Amazon Web Services and chips for model development. The UK CMA is assessing if this partnership lessens competition.
CMA will decide by Oct. 4 on further investigation. If warranted, Amazon may offer undertakings. Anthropic maintains its independence despite the partnership.
