The National Labor Relations Board has accused Apple of infringing on employees' rights by unlawfully firing an employee for advocating changes and penalizing social media posts.
According to the labor board, Apple’s policies are restrictive, requiring employees to seek management approval to create Slack channels for discussing workplace concerns.
Laurie Burgess, representing the fired employee, asserted, 'We look forward to holding Apple accountable for terminating employees for engaging in the protected activity of calling out gender discrimination.'
