How to send RCS messages from your iPhone to your Android user friends
Briefly

Apple's introduction of RCS in iOS 18 finally allows iPhone users to send richer messages to Android devices, including higher-quality media and better group chats.
RCS marks a significant upgrade over SMS, expanding the possibilities for messaging by enabling users to share photos, videos, audio messages, and even see when their messages are read.
Prior to this update, communication between iPhone and Android was limited, forcing iPhone users to rely on SMS and MMS, which restricts the richness of their messages.
Enabling RCS requires both iOS 18 and cooperation from carriers. Currently, major US carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have activated it.
