Transport for London (TfL) is currently trialing zero emission construction vehicles for six weeks, adopting a pioneering mobile recharging method in the UK. This project involves the use of electric excavators and wheel loaders in collaboration with FM Conway, Volvo Construction Equipment, and Charge Fairy. The initiative, aimed at improving pedestrian safety in Kensington and Chelsea, has already shown promising early data, including significant CO2 savings. TfL expresses confidence that these technologies could significantly contribute to achieving Mayor London's ambitious climate goals by 2030.
