May Mobility's partnership with Tecnobus will produce an autonomous minibus seating up to 30 passengers, enhancing sustainable transportation in urban environments.
The new autonomous minibus platform will increase May Mobility's mobility-as-a-service offerings, improving public transit with wheelchair accessibility and battery swapping technology.
CEO Paolo Marini stated that Tecnobus, in collaboration with May Mobility, aims to achieve an annual sales volume of 200 to 250 vehicles by enhancing the electric minibus market.
The first operational tests for the autonomous minibus are scheduled for late this year, with road-ready models expected by the first half of 2026.
