GM Energy, in collaboration with EVgo and Pilot, is working to develop an extensive EV charging infrastructure across the United States. So far, they've installed electric vehicle chargers at 130 locations in 25 states, with a goal of completing 2,000 DC fast chargers at 500 Pilot and Flying J truck stops. As the EV market grows, this initiative aims to facilitate road trips and increase convenience for electric vehicle owners. Current installations allow quick charging, with possible full charges in as little as 15 minutes.
The partnership between GM, EVgo, and Pilot aims to enhance the EV charging infrastructure significantly across the nation, making it more accessible for travelers.
Currently, the GM-backed project is about a quarter finished, with ambitious plans to install thousands of chargers at strategic locations for long-distance travel.
