On average, people need to spend 67 minutes outside each day to feel refreshed. Over half of Americans (57%) want to spend more time outdoors. Outdoor activities can relax (68%), improve mood (66%), and clear the mind (64%).
Spending too much time indoors can lead to depression (38%), anxiousness (33%), and loneliness (32%). Six in 10 feel stir-crazy if indoors for too long. Disruptions to outdoor plans due to weather can cause disappointment (48%), frustration (32%), and annoyance (28%).
"There are physical and mental benefits from exploring open-air activities, enhancing mood, relaxation, and well-being," says RVshare's CEO Jon Gray. Emphasizing outdoor experiences for mental health awareness during May is crucial.
