Five years ago, Sony and Microsoft both launched next-gen consoles with very similar PC-based architectures. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (and its less-powerful sibling, the Series S) promised even bigger and more realistic gaming experiences with near PC-quality graphics and responsiveness. We were told that ray tracingthe recreation of realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows in gameswould be worth spending $500 for a new box to plug into our 4K TVs.
My favorite thing about the Xbox Wireless Gaming Headset is that how easy it is to connect to your console. It leverages the existing wireless connection from the Xbox Series S/X to pair directly, no need for USB dongles or extra apps. Just press the pairing button on the headset and the console's sync button, and you're ready to game.
Silent Hill 2 remake launched in October 2024 as a PS5 console exclusive alongside its PC release. A year later, the survival horror game seems to be finally coming to Xbox. An Xbox Series S/X version of the remake, which was developed by Bloober Team, has been listed on the ESRB ratings website, which suggests an official announcement from Konami isn't that far off.
The ESRB has slightly modified its Silent Hill 2 page (via Insider Gaming) to state that it's certified for the "Xbox Series" consoles. The rating itself hasn't changed, and it's still M for Mature. However, Microsoft and Konami have yet to formally announce the port or set a date for it. We can't even say for certain if Silent Hill 2 will get a physical release on Xbox, or if it will be digital only.
Just four months after the last time it did it, Xbox is raising the prices of the Series X/S consoles in the United States to a number I don't think any of us could have fathomed in 2019 when Microsoft announced the system at the Game Awards . Microsoft announced this on the Xbox support website , saying that the price changes will go into effect on October 3, and are "due to changes in the macroeconomic environment."
