To make Tokyo City for Forza Horizon, we really need a dedicated team. It covers everything from roads, buildings, foliage, terrain; Tokyo has all of it.
Xbox released a lot of big games in 2025. It was one of the only good bits of Xbox-related news from last year. And in 2026, it will release new entries in four of its oldest franchises: Forza, Gears, Halo, and Fable. But new reporting indicates that while these projects, and others including a Fallout 3 remaster, are on track, Xbox is trying to avoid Grand Theft Auto 6 's big launch in November.
X user Xbox Infinite posted a screenshot of an in-game pop-up that appears to have been mistakenly triggered within Forza Horizon 5. If the pop-up is real and not a fake image, then it reveals that the game will launch on May 19, with early access starting on May 14 for anyone who purchases the Premium Edition. VGC says that "Sources have told VGC this is the correct release window" in their article on the subject.
Playground Games is working on two new games, including Forza Horizon 6 and a new Fable title, and both are expected to release on PS5--but only one may come to Sony's console day and date with the Xbox and PC versions. VGC's Andy Robinson said he expects Playground's new Fable game to be released day-and-date on PS5 because the team has been "targeting PS5 for a while."
"While we can't reveal any specific details quite yet, we will of course be following in the footsteps of Forza Horizon 5 in delivering a broad range of cars that players will know and love. The next Forza Horizon game could be announced sooner rather than later. Days after a leak hinted at the setting of the next entry in Xbox's arcade racing franchise, a report claims Forza Horizon 6 could be announced next month. The game is reportedly planned to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show in September. The last entry in the series, Forza Horizon 5, was first released on PC and Xbox consoles in 2021, with a PS5 version launching in April this year.
