Tomorrow is set to be a milder day with highest temperatures between 7 and 11 degrees The alert will kick in early tomorrow morning at 5am, expiring five hours later at 10am, affecting predominantly the midlands and east of the country. It will apply to counties Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath and Wicklow.

Met Éireann issued the rain alert yesterday for counties Cork and Kerry, valid from 11am tomorrow until 8pm. Joining them under the alert tomorrow will be Galway and Mayo between the times of midday and 8pm, the national forecaster said today. The rain warnings will follow the trend of unsettled conditions across the country this week, signalling the potential for flooding and strong gusts in the south and southwest, Met Éireann has said.

Yosemite is included in an updated heat advisory released by the National Weather Service, with high temperatures up to 105 degrees expected in the region until July 15.

A hurricane warning was issued for a portion of southern Mexico due to Tropical Storm Erick, which is expected to rapidly intensify and reach hurricane status.
