The biggest update is the rim itself. The new TYRO uses a 45mm-deep full-carbon clincher rim with a 23mm internal width and 31mm external width. That wider internal measurement reflects where modern road and all-road setups have headed over the last few years. A wider rim supports larger tires and helps them maintain a more stable, rounded profile.
It was aero, modernly wide (with a 25 mm internal width), and had enough zing to hit the forest singletrack without a back injury. So why change them? Well, they were slightly deep (42mm), but the real push was tire optimization. The 42 Limitless were optimized for tires ranging from 38 to 42 mm, and if you follow the gravel world, the arms race of fitting larger (45-55mm) tires without lightbulbing on the rim is rapidly evolving.
Both new wheels have the same overall design and spacing. The Vigor AR and Vigor Stealth AR share a 30mm depth and a wider 24mm inner width. Paired with a 28mm outer width, the new wheels are capable of a massive tire width range, from 28mm to 50mm. There are distinguishing aspects between Rolf Prima's new all-road offerings, such as a ceramic coating on the Stealth rim. However, most of these differences are evident in hub selection and spoke count.
