The rally, held at 1 Silber Way, was organized by Terrier Courage, a group that has collected more than 2,000 signatures on a petition urging the university to reconsider its rules on displays on public-facing windows and walls.
The Sesame Workshop resources want the same for everyone. There is a unique kind of pain in losing your mind, not just once, but over and over. Losing your perception of reality, of your emotions, of your closest relationships-both across months and multiple times a day. Knowing deep down that something is wrong but being unable to stop it.
Exploring Transgender Identity in South Carolina is a candid photographic and interview-based documentation of transgender life in South Carolina. This project offers a contemporary visual record of a community that exists largely outside of that narrative yet within its realities.
A few decades ago I was briefly, unwisely, involved with a young woman, 14 years my junior, whom I met in an online "chat room," way back when those were a thing. A yearlong bicoastal romance ensued, with a few visits back and forth. She was 27 and I was 42. It ended after a year when I neither phoned nor sent flowers on Valentine's Day.
David's story is more than just dodging a bullet it is a powerful testament to the critical importance of suicide prevention strategies that focus on encouraging temporarily limiting firearm access whether through secure storage at home or transfer away from home. A recent study shows a "clinically meaningful" reduction in suicidality among transgender and gender diverse young people when they started getting hormone therapy to treat gender dysphoria, adding another piece of evidence to back keeping gender-affirming care available for trans youth. The study, published by The Journal of Pediatrics in November and appearing in the journal's February 2026 edition, examined whether hormone therapy (HT) reduced suicidality in trans and nonbinary young people.
