An estimated 1.8 million LGBTQ+ young people in the US seriously consider suicide annually, and 40 million worldwide. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline was closed in June last year; Trevor described the closure as devastating and has called for reinstatement. Officials said they are planning a strategic and thoughtful investment plan.
