One day after release from jail, Oakland man allegedly shot himself by accident

Just one day after a judge released him from jail with pending drug and gun possession charges, a city resident allegedly shot himself with his own gun during a dispute with a neighbor, court records show. Now the 54-year-old Oakland resident is back in jail, set to be arraigned Wednesday on new charges of shooting into an unoccupied car and possessing a gun as a felon, court records show.
