The Sundance Film Festival has received a record-breaking number of submissions for its 2024 edition, with 17,435 submissions from 153 countries.
The festival is launching 11 days of screenings on the first day, starting earlier in the day to give films the best moment to launch and connect with audiences.
The festival is prioritizing the in-person experience and will premiere 82 features from 24 countries, with a significant number coming from first-time filmmakers.
