PRH Led in Children's Picture Book Bestsellers in 2023, While Scholastic Took Top Spot in Fiction
Penguin Random House (PRH) strengthened its grip on the picture book bestseller lists, claiming 40% of total available list positions in 2023, up from 33% the year before.
PRH's dominance would be even greater if titles from Sourcebooks were included. Sourcebooks had 26 books on the lists, taking 10.8% of all positions.
On the children's frontlist fiction list, PRH increased its share of bestseller positions to 17.8% from 13.5% the previous year, denting Scholastic's dominant position. [ more ]
