Reliability is broadly defined by how often your car experiences unscheduled failures or malfunctions. A car that is more likely to experience failures is considered unreliable, whereas one that can go for 150,000 miles with nothing but regular maintenance would be considered reliable.
The Roadrunner weighs roughly 15 kilograms and is designed for multi-mode locomotion, allowing it to switch mobility modes based on navigation requirements.
Together, we developed a high-voltage battery system that unlocks the full potential of the new cylindrical cells in record time, delivering significant improvements in energy, range, and charging performance.
We've been involved with the business for five years now. It's an incredible brand with lots of legacy and great values, and there's a long-term plan here. That was supported by two things last year: Carlos joining us, who obviously saw the opportunity when it came to wanting to win; and finishing fifth. And that just supported our story of going back to the top.
VTT's test does show ultra-fast charging capability. It does not, however, address many of the critical details that battery experts consider essential for validating solid-state battery technology, particularly regarding cycle life and performance at the pack level.
The professional-grade simulator has a precision-designed cockpit and race seat to recreate the realism of FPV in the single-seater racer. To simulate the nuances of a Formula -1 car riding the tarmac, the simulator has a high-torque force feedback steering and a Leo Bodnar SimSteering 2 base.
Sometimes I'm rather impressed by the ingenuity of those in the business of making scammy gadgets. Reverse driving accounts for just 1% of all driving time, yet it's responsible for roughly 25% of all accidents. A dirty backup camera in winter, mud season, or on dusty country roads is not a hypothetical inconvenience but a genuine safety liability, one that most drivers have resigned themselves to either living with or solving by stepping out of the car every time.
One of the weird quirks of working from home and owning a lot of cars is that I might go a month or a few between driving a specific vehicle. This is especially true in the winter, when I just won't drive my favorite cars at all to keep them out of the road salt. Many of my vehicles don't have the privilege of sipping from a battery tender. Yet, when I'm ready, the cars fire up when it's time to drive.
Honda Japan announced that it's reorganizing and restructuring its operations to stave off losses, and the 0 Series is the biggest casualty. This comes in the face of record losses for Honda, namely because of US market tariffs and the way that Honda has lost out on Asian market competitiveness.
Vintage cars, especially pickups and SUVs, are usually made from two parts: a standalone chassis and a body that bolts on top of the chassis. So why not swap the original underpinnings with something more modern, while retaining the classic look of the original bodywork? That's exactly what the United Kingdom's Electric Classic Cars thought of doing, and it might just supercharge the EV conversion world.
The newly unveiled car is ultra-agile thanks to the weight reduction achieved by shaving off components like the skid-control, torque-vectoring, or automatic brake-assist. It doesn't even have power steering, and gives buyers the option to skip the air conditioning unit for weight reduction, making it the ideal fit for raw purists who want to feel every little change happening in the driving dynamics.
The Apple Watch companion app acts as a gateway to the R1S and R1T's functions, and gives Gen 1 owners the ability to use their smartwatch as a digital key. Scout Motors CEO Scott Keogh surprised me when he announced that over 80% of Scout pre-orders are for the "Harvester" models, which have gasoline-powered range extenders. It was our first sign that demand for extended-range electric vehicles, or EREVs, is real. To meet it, the company will likely launch the EREV version of the Terra and Traveler first, Keogh said Tuesday. But the purely electric version isn't going anywhere.
The best custom builds do not just remix old ideas. They ask what those ideas would look like if they were born today, with access to current tools, materials, and manufacturing processes. The SP40 Restomod Speedster is that question answered in carbon and billet. It takes the stance and spirit of a 1930s streamliner, that long, low, purposeful shape built for speed rather than comfort, and reimagines it through the lens of modern coachbuilding.
